About the art
'Arctic Soup' was captured in 2018 during a 2 week arctic expedition.
I captured this image when floating peacfully between icebergs, we were on a zodiac (small inflatable boat), everything was so quite and peaceful as the engine was switched off.
All you could hear was a strange 'clinking' of the little ice blocks all around us, I snapped this image as I loved the patterns and textures.
Next thing we knew, two humbpack whales broke the silence with a loud exhale about 50m from us. You could feel the excitement of the 8 passengers, no words were spoken, only a few gasps and huge smiles were shared! I will remember that moment for the rest of my life.
